 #2 The inner form of the Tree of Life embodies the number 137

1370 yods in (7+7) Type B polygons

The inner form of the Tree of Life with Type B polygons contains 1370 yods.

The seven separate types of polygons making up the inner Tree of Life have 48 corners and 48 sectors. When they are enfolded, one of the sectors of the hexagon is taken over by the triangle. The seven enfolded polygons have 47 sectors with 41 corners (36 polygonal corners) and 88 sides (42 polygonal). The (7+7) polygons have 94 sectors with 80 corners and 175 sides. When a polygon is Type B, its sectors are Type A triangles with 10 internal yods. The number of such yods in the inner Tree of Life = 94×10 = 940. Each set of seven enfolded polygons has (36 + 42×2 = 120) yods lining their sides. When the two sets are joined, four yods on the root edge of either set disappear, so that the (7+7) enfolded polygons have (120+120−4=236) boundary yods. The sectors of either set of seven separate polygons have internal sides. When enfolded, the triangle replaces a sector of the hexagon and two of its sides replace two internal sides of the latter, leaving 46 internal sides, each with two hexagonal yods on it. The centre of the enfolded decagon coincides with a corner of the pentagon; the centre of the hexagon coincides with a corner of the triangle. This means that five of the seven centres of each set of seven polygons do not belong to the 236 boundary yods. The number of yods in the (7+7) enfolded Type B polygons = 940 + 236 + 46×2 + 46×2 + 5 + 5 = 1370 = 137×10. This is the number of yods in 137 tetractyses. The inner form of the Tree of Life singles out the number 137 as the number of tetractyses whose yod population is equal to its yod population.

The number 1370 has the property:

1370 = 12 + 372.

When the polygons making up the inner form of each overlapping Tree of Life are Type B, the topmost corners of the two hexagons coincide with the lowest corners of the two hexagons belonging to the inner form of the next higher Tree of Life. This means that (1370−2=1368) yods uniquely belong the lowest Tree, 1368 yods belong to the next higher Tree and so on. 1368 yods are intrinsic to the inner form of each Tree, where

1368 = 1370 − 2 = 372 − 1 = 3 + 5 + 7 +... + 73

is the sum of the first 36 odd integers after 1. This is how ELOHA, the Godname assigned to Geburah with number value 36, prescribes the intrinsic yod population of the inner form of the Tree of Life.

Associated with each half of the inner Tree of Life are (1370/2=685) yods. They comprise two yods in the root edge shared by all 14 polygons, the centres of the seven polygons and 676 yods surrounding the latter. As 262 = 676, the Godname YAHWEH assigned to Chokmah with number value 26 determines how many yods outside the root edge surround the centres of the seven polygons in each half of the inner Tree of Life:

Yahweh prescribes number of yods surrounding centres of 7 Type B polygons

The number value of ADONAI (אדני), the Godname of Malkuth, is 65. Its letter values denote the numbers of yods in a pentagram and the corners of an enclosing square:

Pentagram representation of 1370

The same pair of shapes generates the number 1370 because

1370 = 2 + 4 + 41 + 42 + 43 + 44 + 45.

The number "2" at the centre of the pentagram denotes the two yods that are not intrinsic to the (7+7) Type B polygons enfolded in each Tree of Life, namely, the topmost corners of the two hexagons, "4" denotes the four yods in the root edge, "41" denotes the four centres and lowest corners of the two hexagons that are shared with the outer Tree because they coincide with Chesed, Netzach, Geburah & Hod, ("41+42") denotes the remaining 12 centres of polygons and the eight hexagonal yods lining the Pillars of Mercy and Judgement that are part of the two hexagons, and ("43+44+45") denote the 1344 unshared yods that surround centres of polygons. i.e., the yods intrinsic to the inner Tree of Life that shape its polygons.

The number of yods outside the root edge of the (7+7) enfolded polygons that are not Sephirothic points of the outer Tree = 1370 − 4 − 3 − 3 = 1360 = 42 + 43 + 44 + 45:

1360 as sum of Kabbalistic numbers of Malkuth

Remarkably, this is the sum of the gematria number values of the Hebrew word Malkuth, its Godname (ADONAI), Archangel (Sandalphon), Order of Angels (Ashim) and Mundane Chakra (Cholem Yesodoth):

1360 = 496 + 65 + 280 + 351 + 168.

Alternatively, it is the number of yods surrounding the 10 centres of polygons that are not also corners of the latter. This interpretation is expressed by a pentagram of these numbers enclosed in a square with tha Pythagorean integers 1, 2, 3 & 4 assigned to its corners that add up to 10.
